The statements of Elon Musk, the owner of the “X” platform, that all users have to pay for access to services, have turned into reality.
In a new experiment, “X ” has started applying a fee of one US dollar per year to new users in New Zealand and the Philippines as part of a new experiment aimed at reducing platform manipulation and eliminating automated bot accounts.
These fees allow new users to access key features including the ability to tweet, retweet, like posts and reply to posts, but those who do not pay fees will only be able to read posts, watch videos and follow accounts.
EXE is already offering an improved service called “X premium” that costs about 8 dollars a month in the United States, which offers advantages including writing longer posts.
