OpenAI, the company that created the ChatGPT platform, has announced that it has entered into a partnership with the G42 group, based in Abu Dhabi, in order to promote artificial intelligence in the Middle East.
The G42 group stated that it will use OpenAI’s generative AI models in the fields of financial services, energy, healthcare, public services, and as part of the development of technological content in the UAE.
The Mubadala-backed G42 group has been at the forefront of AI adoption in the UAE.
The g42 group said in July that it had developed the world’s largest high-speed computer for artificial intelligence training in collaboration with the US-based artificial intelligence company Cerebras Systems.
G42 said it will use Microsoft Azure data centers as part of its artificial intelligence infrastructure to boost regional adoption.
The CEO of OpenAI, Sam Altman, visited Abu Dhabi last June as part of his” World Tour ” in the field of artificial intelligence, where he called for the regulation of artificial intelligence developments by international bodies.
