One of the biggest reasons people cite when they say they won’t buy an electric car is range anxiety, the fear of running out of power on the road with nowhere to recharge.
The stellants Ram brand may have an answer to this question, especially for people who need a truck to transport or tow things. Dubbed the Ram recharge, it is a pickup truck that can travel 145 miles (235 kilometers) with electricity, with a 3.6-liter V6 gas-powered engine, linked to a generator that can recharge the battery while the truck is moving.
The growth of sales of electric cars began to slow down, prompting automakers to rethink huge investments in the historic transition from internal combustion to electric motors.
Polls show that the reasons are the cost, as well as the limited range and the small number of charging stations, unlike gas stations that are almost always nearby.
“There are a lot of advantages to a battery-powered electric car, but there are certain things that slow people down,”says Tim koneskis, CEO of the Ram brand. And with a Ram charger, Kuniskis says, he can tell customers, “you don’t have to do this, worry about this with this?”!.
Stellants, which has been slow to introduce all-electric cars in the United States, is so confident in the attractiveness of the new powertrain that it plans to introduce it in other vehicles. While the company has not officially commented, a new preliminary contract agreement says that it plans to use the same power system in a small SUV in 2028, and other large SUVs 2025.
