The European Investment Bank and the Brazilian Development Bank signed a memorandum of understanding to discuss the possibilities of joint financing in the field of renewable energy
The memorandum was signed by Ambroise Fayol, vice-president of the European Investment Bank and Aloisio mercadinci, president of the Brazilian Development Bank, on the sidelines of the UN climate change conference “COP28” in Dubai.
The European Investment Bank is discussing with the Brazilian Development Bank the possibility of providing a credit facility of up to 300 million euros focused on the water and sanitation sectors.
The EIB is the world’s largest international public bank and a major financier of climate action projects around the world, while the Brazilian Development Bank, in turn, is a long-term partner in the field of renewable energy in Brazil and is currently the leading financier in the field of renewable energy in the world.
