The director of the US trade and Development Agency, Inoue Ebong, confirmed that cooperation is being carried out with Egypt within the framework of an agreement to reduce methane emissions from the oil and gas industries and consider ways to mitigate them, pointing out that Egypt will be a leader in this field .
The director of the US Trade Agency said in an interview with Sky News,” a plan is being developed with Egypt to identify methane sources and the possibility of dealing with them to reduce them in the best way and use alternative methods, ” noting that the agency is focusing on supporting climate-related development projects .
She added that the agency focuses on investment, leadership and innovation, invests in infrastructure projects related to climate action, and considers development projects for all parties to ensure that they are suitable for their needs and provide them to investors for financing.
