OpenAI has announced the launch of a new GPT store that allows users to access modified artificial intelligence robots built on the models developed by the company.
The company had announced its new store last November, and customers were able to create over 3 million modified versions of the ChatGPT robot. Many of these versions are now available in the new GPT store.
The company announced that it has started launching the store for “ChatGPT Plus” subscribers as well as Enterprise and Teams customers, and the store can be accessed from within the application or through the company’s official website.
It is worth mentioning that the GPT store is currently unavailable for users of the free version of ChatGPT.
The store offers many specialized ChatGPT robots, such as the Consensus robot for researching and aggregating results from 200 million academic research papers, the Khan Academy programming teacher robot, the Canva robot for designing presentations and social media posts, the Books robot which serves as a guide for books and literature, and other robots.
OpenAI allows its custom robots through the “Explore” tab for subscribers of the company’s paid plans.
Creating modified GPT robots is a simple task that doesn’t require any programming skills, and they can be easily shared through the store. They will undergo both human and automated review before approval to ensure compliance with company rules and usage policies.
The company stated that it will launch a program in the first quarter that allows creators of modified GPT robots to make a profit based on user interaction without disclosing further details.
