On Thursday, Google announced a free application for artificial intelligence that will apply technology to smartphones and enable people to quickly connect with a digital mind that can write for them and translate what they read and see, as well as assist in managing their lives.
With the introduction of the advanced application, Gemini, which shares the same name as the artificial intelligence project announced last year, Google will set aside its conversational robot, “Cold,” that was presented last year, to compete with “Chat GP T” launched by Microsoft with support from Open AI in late 2022.
Google will immediately launch the Gemini application for smartphones on its Android platform.
In a few weeks, Google will provide Gemini features for its search application on iPhones. The app will be initially launched in the United States in English before expanding to the Asia-Pacific region next week, with versions released in Japanese and Korean language.
In addition to the free version of Gemini, Google will sell an advanced service called “Advanced” through the new application for $20 per month.
The company, based in California, says the application is an advanced form of artificial intelligence that will be able to teach students, provide computer programming tips for engineers, generate project ideas, and create content for user suggestions.
Google offers a two-month free experience of Gemini Advanced to encourage individuals to give it a try.
