Venezuela’s ambassador to Bolivia, Cesar Trómpiz, said that the Economic Commission for Latin America estimates that Venezuela’s economy will grow in 2023 by five units out of 100 despite the US economic and financial blockade.
“The blockade imposed by Washington since President Barack Obama unjustly declared the South American country an extraordinary threat to Washington’s national security includes 900 punishments,” Trómpiz said.
“These measures have caused losses to Venezuela worth $627 billion. We continue to uphold the ratification of independence and sovereignty and at the same time extend a hand of solidarity to friendly peoples,” Trómpiz added.
He described how this blockade, which he described as criminal, prevented the government from obtaining essential medicines to confront the Corona pandemic.
