Mohamed El-Zoghby, president of the Federation of Islamic institutions in Brazil, said that a delegation from the Brazilian government will visit Egypt next year to discuss strengthening cooperation with the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and antiquities, adding in his remarks on the sidelines of the meeting organized by the Brazilian vanpress company and the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce for the international buyers mission that the launch of a direct flight line between Cairo and Sao Paulo, planned to be operational soon, will contribute significantly to enhancing trade, investment and tourism exchange between the two countries.
He pointed out that the Brazilian tourist is very interested in religious and cultural tourism, exploring history and has a passion to learn about Egyptian history, and added that Egypt enjoys a lot of attractions for the Brazilian tourist, and Brazil also has attractions for Egyptian tourism.
He added that Egypt’s accession to the BRICS community will have a positive impact on all economic fields, in general and the field of tourism in particular, noting that dealing in local currencies will greatly contribute to increasing travel and aviation traffic between the countries of the community.
He stressed that Brazil is seeking to build a strategic partnership with Egypt to enhance trade exchange between the two countries and take advantage of the Free Trade Agreement signed by Egypt with Mercosur, and increase cooperation to reach a joint manufacturing that benefits both countries, Egypt can be Brazil’s gateway to the African market, and Brazil can be Egypt’s gateway to Latin American countries, pointing to the desire of Brazilian investors to invest in the Suez Canal Zone.
For his part, Tamer Mansour, secretary general of the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, said that it is expected to implement export contracts between representatives of Brazilian and Arab companies worth at least 13 million dollars.
For its part, the mission of international buyers, which included Ashraf Marzouk from Egypt, Banga Perer from Sudan, Mohammed Mustafa from the UAE and Khalid al-atat from Kuwait, praised the organization and fruitful meetings organized by the chamber, pointing out that the organization of trade missions would increase trade exchange, focusing on value-added goods both in export and import.
