Meta has launched the initial trial of multimedia artificial intelligence via its smart glasses in the United States, this new type of technology designed in collaboration with ray-ban comes within the framework of the company’s Early Access program, and it is planned that artificial intelligence will officially reach the public in 2024.
Bosworth confirmed that next year will see the launch of the multimedia version of the artificial intelligence integrated into the glasses, where the camera will provide the user with comprehensive information related to inquiries and details about his surroundings, and the current versions of the glasses carry an artificial intelligence assistant inside, but they are still limited in their capabilities and interaction, especially with regard to video and photography, despite the availability of built-in cameras that enable it.
Meta designed the smart assistant integrated with glasses to control it via voice commands, where the wearer of the glasses can interact with the assistant simply by talking to him, similar to the interaction of users with voice assistants such as Alexa from Amazon or Siri from Apple, Bosworth showed the features of the multimedia version in his post, where he presented a video showing him wearing glasses and expressing admiration for a piece of art in his office illuminated showing the state of California, Bosworth was able to use the smart assistant while wearing glasses, indicating that artificial intelligence requires a connection to a smartphone device to work efficiently.
Following a meta-model developed in artificial intelligence technology, the display of the new interface of multimedia artificial intelligence showed the ability to recognize and respond effectively, for example, Andrew Bosworth showed the screen a successful interaction where he asked the assistant to describe art, where he replied that it was a wonderful wooden sculpture.this interface allows users to ask for help in commenting on images or translating them, and also provided the possibility of consulting the assistant to suggest suitable clothes.
