Mexican media reported that Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak was hospitalized in Mexico City on Wednesday due to a possible stroke, but TMZ report citing sources indicated that the illness was probably a less serious dizzy spell.
The 73-year-old scientist and tech entrepreneur was due to attend a Global Business Forum event in Mexico City’s Santa Fe neighborhood on Wednesday afternoon.
The American media website TMZ, citing informed sources, reported that Wozniak finished his speech but then told his wife that he ” feels strange”. She reportedly insisted on going to the hospital.
The TMZ report said that Wozniak may have suffered from dizziness.
In 1976, Wozniak founded the fledgling company Apple Computers with his most famous business partner Steve Jobs, a respected investor and longtime Apple CEO who died in 2011.
Their business was a pioneer in the field of personal computing and became the most valuable company in the world, known for the design and functionality of a variety of consumer electronic products, including laptops, desktops, mobile phones and iPhones.
