Bank of America announced that it will open branches for consumers in four new US states.
Bank of America will open new banks in Nebraska, Wisconsin, Alabama, and Louisiana as part of its expansion in nine markets, including Louisville, Milwaukee, and New Orleans.
This decision will give Bank of America a presence in 39 states, compared to JPMorgan, which has branches in 49 states.
The two banks have been supported by consumers and small businesses while bringing more income from interest payments to customers as the Federal Reserve has raised borrowing costs.
Bank of America branches shrank to 3800, while consumer deposits almost doubled to 1 trillion dollars.
