Economic data showed that demand for manufactured goods in the United States fell in October by more than expected after rising sharply in the previous month .
The US Department of Commerce reported that the demand for factory production in the United States fell last October by 6.3%, while analysts expected a decline of 6.2% after rising by 3.2% last September according to the revised data, and by 8.2% according to preliminary data.
The sharp decline in industrial demand came as a result of a sharp decline in demand for durable goods by 4.5% after rising by 4% during the previous month. The demand for transport equipment decreased by 7-14% in October.
Demand for non-durable goods fell by 4.1% after rising by 6.0% in the previous month.
At the same time, the volume of deliveries of manufactured goods decreased last October by 9.1% after stabilizing in September .
Inventories of manufactured goods rose by 1.0% in October, the same as the previous month.
