According to the times of india, Musk said that artificial intelligence will be smarter than the smartest humans, adding, “We are witnessing here the most destructive force in history, you can get a job if you want a job to achieve personal satisfaction, but artificial intelligence will do everything.
He predicted that there will be no jobs in the future, because artificial intelligence will take them, “one of the challenges of the future will be how to find meaning in life,”he said.
Musk also told his colleagues present that governments should not rush to put forward AI legislation, and instead, he suggested that companies using the technology are the best, in detecting problems, and they can share their findings with lawmakers responsible for writing new laws.
The UK hosted the world’s first AI safety summit, and the two-day summit (November 1-2) brought together about 100 politicians, academics and technology executives to chart a path forward for technology that could change the way businesses, societies and economies operate, with some hoping to create an independent body that provides global oversight.
