Italy, through its Foreign Minister, Antonio Tajani, has confirmed that there is a strong trade exchange between Rome and Buenos Aires, but also that there is potential for further cooperation. This is considering, among other factors, the improving business climate in Argentina, which is strengthening our partnership.
During the Italian-Argentinian business forum organized by the Confederación de Industriales Italianos (Confindustria) on Tuesday, the vice prime minister stated in his speech that there are several critical issues that need to be addressed, such as the reform of the electric energy market, the regulation of tariffs, and the restrictions imposed on the export of goods and currencies.
Tajani expressed his belief that “these problems can be addressed within the framework of enhanced cooperation:
” Building on the “acceleration” that could also come from the ratification of the free trade agreement between the European Union and Brazil (Mercosur), the minister hoped for the possibility of “organizing a business forum in Argentina, following the first forum held in Rome.”
