Paraguay exported its products to 131 countries in the period between January and June 2023, with Argentina, Brazil, and Chile being the main destinations, according to the Paraguayan Ministry of Finance.
Argentina leads the list of the five main export destinations with 43.9%, followed by Brazil with 23.8%, Chile with 8.7%, the Netherlands with 2.3%, and, finally, Taiwan with 2.1%, according to the Foreign Trade Report (RCE) presented by the Paraguayan Ministry of Finance.
The total exports registered for the month of June were $5,874 million, which represents an interannual growth of 20.8%.
Regarding imports, these came from 150 countries, of which China accounted for 33.7% of the total, followed by Brazil with 23.8%, the USA with 8.3%, Argentina with 6.9%, and Germany with 2.3%. Registered imports totaled $7,463 million, an interannual increase of 1.3% of total imported goods.
