Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, discussed with Miguel Diaz-Canel, president of the Republic of Cuba, the prospects, opportunities and possibilities of cooperation between the UAE and Cuba in all fields to represent their common interests, in addition to a range of questions and topics of common interest.
During the meeting held at Expo City Dubai, the UAE and Cuban presidents discussed various areas of cooperation, especially in the fields of Economy, Investment, Development, renewable energy and sustainability, in order to reach broader horizons leading to the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals. Contribute to achieving the aspirations of the two countries and their peoples towards development and prosperity.
The meeting also discussed the conference of the states parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on climate change (COP28), which begins its work tomorrow at Expo City Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, and its importance in promoting sustainability in the world and the search for collective solutions. Solutions to the challenge of climate change that will bring about a qualitative change in climate protection.
The meeting discussed the “group of 77 China Summit” hosted by Cuba last September under the theme “current development challenges: the role of Science, Technology and innovation” and the importance of the visions put forward on the need to provide support to member states.
