The Brazilian Ministry of Tourism announced in a statement released on Tuesday evening, February 20, that the Saudi Arabian airline is planning to establish a direct flight route between Saudi Arabia and Brazil.
The statement added that during a bilateral meeting with the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Tourism on February 17, Saudi Arabia emphasized its intention to create a direct airline route to Brazil through Saudi channels.
According to the Brazilian Ministry of Tourism, “The Saudi government is currently conducting studies to establish the destinations to be included in this route, thus advancing the proposal that will enhance connectivity between the two nations.”

This meeting was held between the Brazilian Ministry of Tourism’s Executive Secretary, Ana Carla Lopez, and the Saudi Deputy Minister of Tourism, Sultan Al Muslim, in Jamaica, where they were both participating in the Second International Conference on Tourism Resilience and Crisis Management.
The meeting also discussed another issue, which was the participation of the Brazilian experience in coastal tourism. The Brazilian Ministry of Tourism stated: “Brazil can assist this Arab country by navigating the Red Sea to develop the coastal tourism sector.
To benefit from Brazil’s successful experience, Saudi Arabia invited Brazilian technicians to participate and help in the development and improvement of the Saudi coast as a destination for sun and beach tourism.”
