The Brazilian company “Siyat”, specializing in high-tech systems and in which the Edge Group owns 50% of its shares, announced the victory of a pilot project of strategic importance.
The project aims to provide secure communications technology to monitor and protect the entire coastal infrastructure in Brazil.
The project, known as SisGAAz, will play an important role in supporting the marine protection program “Blue Amazon ” in Brazil, which is considered one of the most important projects in the country.
SisGAAz will be an essential part of the” Blue Amazon management system”, which aims to continuously monitor and protect all important marine areas and inland waters, including marine life resources, ports, ships and marine infrastructure. This would provide protection from environmental hazards and disasters, provide support during emergencies, possible hostilities, piracy or illegal smuggling, thereby strengthening development and national security.
Edge’s support to Siyat in connection with the “SisGAAz” project was decisive in its victory over the world’s largest sector companies, which submitted bids for the project.
The two companies will work together to continue joint development and knowledge transfer in the fields of artificial intelligence, data integration, coastal radar technology and autonomous air, land and Sea Systems. The two partners will also work together to build an Integration Lab, a communications training center and a simulation center. The first communications tower will also be located in the areal do Cabo, located east of Rio de Janeiro.
