Not 24 hours have passed since the launch of Apple’s new phone and its availability in more than 40 stores around the world, until some users criticized the color of the titanium material from which the phone is made changed when touched.
Reports indicated that the discoloration of the metal frame is not due to damage or scratches, but rather due to a chemical reaction between the metal and chemicals contained in human skin, in perfumes or shampoos. The reports pointed out that the change in the color of the metal frame of the “Apple” phones is not a new problem, as previous “iPhone” phones have already been exposed to this.
One user in a post via the platform “X” (formerly Twitter) likens the order to change the color of the car wheels as a result of the heat, and that carrying the new phone without a cover may lead to a temporary change in its color.
Apple has already addressed interesting details about the “iPhone 15 Pro”, highlighting in a recently published support document that the body of the phone made of titanium material may show temporary color changes when exposed to natural oils from the user’s skin.
At the launch ceremony on September 12, the company’s CEO Tim Cook praised the titanium body of the device, touting its dual benefits such as weight reduction and enhanced durability, but warned of possible color differences.
