Jamie Dion, CEO of the bank “JPMorgan Chase”, which is the largest bank in America, pointed to military conflicts around the world as reasons for the growing new fears.
Dimon, the head of one of the world’s largest financial institutions, warned that the planet found itself in the most dangerous time it has been going through for “decades”, according to him.
Jamie Dimon made this warning while delivering his report on the bank’s financial earnings for the last quarter of the current year 2023, and while he published another set of good results for the company, he warned that “external influences may affect things in the future,” referring specifically to the conflicts in Ukraine and Palestine, according to MarketWatch.
“The conflict in Ukraine, aggravated by last week’s attack on Israel, may have far-reaching implications for energy and food markets, global trade, geopolitical relations, and this may be the most dangerous time the world has seen in decades,”Dimon said.
The billionaire also said that “the Palestinian-Israeli conflict may have multiplier effects outside the region”.
While Jamie Dimon drew attention to the fact that American companies are in good shape, he noted that consumers are spending through their savings, and this, coupled with the likelihood that the Fed will raise interest rates in America again, may have negative effects.
