Russia exported a record shipment of crude oil by 207 thousand tons worth 133 million dollars to Brazil last October.
Russia became one of the three largest suppliers of black gold to Brazil last month, where the oil shipment in October 2023, in terms of volume and value, was the largest since at least 1997, according to the Middle East news agency, on Friday.
Brazil resumed buying oil from Russia in early autumn after a two-year break, and in October 2023 the volume of purchases increased by 2.5 times to 207.4 thousand tons, or the equivalent of 1.5 million barrels, and before last month, Brazil bought a record shipment of Russian crude in May 2022, which amounted to 139.8 thousand tons.
