Meta has revealed a way that enables you to delete your threads profile without having to delete your Instagram account, and you will be able to access the new feature from the settings menu in the new “Delete or deactivate profile” section, according to what Instagram President Adam Mosseri posted, he said I don’t have this feature yet but I think Meta will make it available to everyone soon, according to theverge report.
This new ability to delete your Threads profile addresses an early complaint of the app, which currently requires registration with an Instagram account, however shortly after the launch of the app, Mosseri said that the company is “looking” for a way to enable it to delete the Threads account itself. (And if you don’t want to permanently delete your Threads profile, you can always deactivate it.)
Mosseri also shared that the platform is rolling out a way to opt out of viewing your topics ‘ posts on Facebook and Instagram, and the feature debuted over the weekend, introduced by Meta after “I heard comments that you want more control over the experience,” Mosseri says .
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said last month that Threads has nearly 100 million monthly users, and app investigators have found some clues to some other new features that may be coming to the app, including hashtags and direct messages .
