Data from the US Energy Information Administration released on Wednesday showed an increase in crude oil and gasoline inventories and a decline in diesel inventories during the past week ending on October 27 last.
The Energy Information Administration reported that crude oil inventories increased by 774 thousand barrels to 421.9 million barrels.
At the same time, the operating rate of oil refineries in the United States increased by 0.2 percentage points compared to the previous week.
Gasoline inventories in the United States increased by 100 thousand barrels to 223.5 million barrels, while diesel inventories decreased by 800 thousand barrels to 111.3 million barrels.
