Samantha Power, head of the US Agency for development and humanitarian aid “USAID”, promised to provide support to about twenty developing cities in the face of climate change, in addition to new funding of more than two billion dollars for adaptation, provided by the private sector.
The agency pledged 53 million dollars to help 23 cities in developing countries switch to low-carbon and climate-resilient activities, such as electric cars.
