Brazilian company Vale and the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu signed a memorandum of understanding on Thursday, January 11, to develop a project for casting iron metal molds in this Arab country.

The Chief Executive Officer of Vale, Eduardo Bartolomeu, participated in a dialogue session at the forum where he discussed the innovations and technological steps planned for the “Mega Hub” located in the Ras Al Khair Industrial City, under the supervision of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu. According to reports, Vale’s participation in this meeting reflects its role in the sustainable minerals sector of that region and aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
Vale also presented its plans for the area during this meeting. It is worth noting that the Brazilian mining company has had a production unit in the city of Sohar in the Sultanate of Oman since 2007.
In September, Valley Company is expected to sign an memorandum of understanding with the aim of working in Saudi Arabia in partnership with an Indian company. According to the agreement, it is proposed to install a raw material processing unit in Ras Al Khair, where molds and pellets will be produced. The molds are a compacted ore from which carbon dioxide is emitted 10% less during production compared to traditional processes.
